Google adds sitelinks control to Webmaster Tools and more.

From OJV 10.18.2007

Google has informed that today they are releasing a new update to Google Webmaster Tools. The new features include a way to manage your Google Sitelinks.Historical query statistics, an extension of Sitemaps to support code search, an improved message center and a duplicate content type of tool.

Google has also extended their query stats to give you a break down by date range. You can view data from the past 7 days, 2 weeks ago, 3 weeks ago, 1 month ago, 2 months ago, 3 months ago, 4 months ago, 5 months ago and even 6 months ago.

the improved message center will now send you a confirmation of receipt for your spam reports, paid link reports, reconsideration requests, and crawl rate change requests.

Google has also added a form of a duplicate content tool. Google said they will now notify you of "high URL counts." High URL counts are often caused by duplicate content issues, such as calendars. Google says these types of pages "could result in Googlebot consuming more of a site's bandwidth than necessary."
